The 47-year-old Japanese Akira Waku succeeded the only 5th repetition of the Dai Koyamada Boulders ‚Babel‘ (Fb 8c). A super performance, considering that he started climbing only 12 years ago. If he started, there was no climbing gym in the neighborhood, so he decided to build one himself. For him, climbing training is mainly muscle training and campus board training. He designs his own training plans.
