Alex Rohr sends to Simon Wandeler the second ascent of the route "Alpenbitter" (9a) in Gimmelwald in Switzerland.
After some attempts last year, he finally could score the route after 3 "working days" and a break out of
the hold.
Alex by Instagram: "Boom! ‚Alpenbitter‘, 9a is done ✅ After 3 days of working it this year and some effort last year it finally went down yesterday. It‘s the second ascent after @wandelersimon . After him, people kept trying it and one hold in the crux (crucial hold) broke and some other holds in the first part were gone. I broke the good part of the resting jug as well which made the jump impossible. With more power and fitness, I figured out a totally different beta and it worked. Very very happy about this one!"
