Adam Ondra is and remains in top form after „La Bomba“ the Czech could score with „“Wonderland“ an even harder route. How difficult the route in the Italian climbing area Terra Promessa near Arco really is remains to be seen. Since Stefano Ghislofi’s ascent of „Erebor“ and the subsequent downgrades, all top climbers have had a hard time with gradings. For Adam, the route is definitely a bit harder than „Erebor“, which Adam graded with 9b.

The route „Wonderland“ is an old project of Alfredo Webber and was slightly changed in the line by Adam in November last year.

„Just as the name suggests, Terra Promessa (Promised Land) is a crag of many possibilities  A project bolted by Alfredo Weber, where I found an alternative natural start and added a few more bolts this autumn, was an obvious challenge. I got the moves dialed in November, but before I could send it, I got sick , the route got wet and then despite unusually dry winter, it remained wet in January and February.

In March it got finally dry and yesterday I took advantage of amazing windy conditions and sent it!  It wasn’t easy, it was actually a good fight, but that is what hard climbing should be about!

Regarding the grade, I believe it could be the hardest route in Arco at the moment. The route fits my style, it is quite morphological (harder if you are short), but if it could break the barrier into the 9b+ realm? I honestly do not know. It is also really difficult for me to tell what could be compared with La Dura Dura, Change or Perfecto Mundo.

All I know is that it felt a little bit harder than Erebor that I did a few months ago.

The new video with commented climb will be available soon on my YouTube channel! Stay tuned!“
