Die 9b-Begehungen purzeln dieses Jahr. Da soll mal jemand sagen, hartes Olympiatraining zahlt sich nicht aus. Nach dem Österreicher Jakob Schubert konnte nun auch Alexander Megos „La Capella“ 9b (9a+) im spanischen Klettergebiet Siurana klettern.
„This one felt very hard to me if I’m honest. I had a lot of trouble with this undercling move on the picture and fell there quite a few days.
Looks like there is a bit of confusion about the grades here at the Capella sector and I’ll also write a post to show how hard and how individual grading and difficulties of routes can be. No matter the grade though, it was fun and a good challenge. I can’t thank @jenya_kazbekova enough for the support and for going to this cold place with me so many times. Alex ist sich bei der Bewertung der Route und der Routen insgesamt im ganzen Sektor unsicher, Jakob wertete dagegen in üblicher „Schubert-Manier“ die Route um einen Grad ab.
„La Capella“ wurde 2011 von Adam Ondra erstbegangen und wie auch La Capella (9b) von David Brasco eingerichtet. Für Alex war es bei „La Capella“ die 7. Begehung, siehe die härtesten Routen der Welt.
