The Czech Gabriela Vrablíková manages the probably first women’s ascent of a route in the XIb „Sachsengrad“ in the Elbesandstone. The route „THC“ is located in the Roman Elbe Valley at the Edelweißturm/Protěžová věž and was first ascented in 2002 by Ondřej Beneš and Tomáš Sobotkaand redpointed by Ondřej Beneš in 2005. The Czech Jitka Mázlová climb with ‚Těžká karta‘ in Telpice the first XIa in 2002. „Today it is exactly one year since I have climbed THC graded XIb in Labske Udoli – first Czech female ascent of this difficulty on sandstone. But more importantly, it is exactly one year since I have realized that I (and everyone) can achieve whatever I (you) want Projecting THC was a secret – I was afraid that I am aiming too high. But from that experience, I started to fully believe in myself. Please be aware it is just my climbing self-confidence talking, not arrogance (though my humour is sometimes harsh). Anyway – now I have new and much harder project in Labske Udoli and in next few days I will post my … falls so far.“
