Hard to believe: This week, a giant flag was hoisted from the summit of one of the most beautiful mountains in the world, Ama Dablam in Nepal, at 6,828 meters. The 100m x 30m flag was draped by a Kuwait expedition. Proud of a summit victory is fine, but this goes far too far, also the summit of the Ama Dablam is considered sacred. The extent to which local Sherpas were involved is still unknown. The expedition was organized by Nirmal Purja.
