The young South Tyrolean Filip Schenk sends „Kein Licht, kein Schatten“ 9a on the elephant wall in Ötztal (Tyrol) in his second session. The 17-year-old multiple youth world champion found the route a bit easier and would classify it as „hard 8c +“. The bouldery route was first ascented in 2016 by none other than Jakob Schubert, who is actually not known for soft classifications.

„One of the most eye catching lines I have ever done with some of the most unique moves you can find on rock. Doing it after waiting for the sun to go down for the one and last try made it even better!
.
There are some discussions going on about the grade if it’s really 9a or maybe a hard 8c+. I needed just two sessions for it, but despite I really think this route deserves the 9a grade!“
