Giuliano Cameroni kann erneut einen schweren Boulder erstbegehen. Er fügte seinem 8C-Boulder „Hazel Grace“ aus dem Jahr 2017 jetzt noch einen Sitzstart hinzu. Der Boulder an einem Block in der Nähe des St. Gotthard in der Schweiz, kann nur an wenigen Wochen im Jahr probiert werden, da er sich meist im oder unterm Schnee befindet. Jetzt war zumindest auch der Sitzstart freigetaut und Guiliano konnte so bei Topbedingungen den Boulder erfolgreich klettern. Ingesamt benötigte Giuliano 3 sessions verteilt auf die Sommermonate der letzten beiden Jahre. Bei der Bewertung ist Giuliano diesmal etwas vorsichtig und gibt 8C bis 8C+ an.

„First day of the season, what a day! A huge mountain of snow was surrounding the bloc, making it magical. Conditions were perfect and no pressure was involved. Checked out the moves, rested for half an hour and climbed it first try. Great moment where everything connected. So cool to have completed the three lines that I tried the most the past few years!
