The Czech traditional company Saltic provided us with three pairs of climbing shoes for testing. These are the models Fenix, Enigma Black and Givet of the traditional Czech company, which after a few disputes now want to return to the German and Austrian markets. First of all, the shoes are consistently very well made and makes a good visual impression. Here you can see that the shoes were not made „cheap“ and correspond to an upscale quality level. It is of course always: „The own foot shape is the key to the right choice of climbing shoes!“. FENIX: The shoe is the current top model of the shoe manufacturer. Despite the tight fit you can get into the shoe quite well. With three over opposite Velcro’s one can fix the feet in the shoes according to need. The FENIX is highly assymetrical and with good tension, so it is also on the smallest steps quite solid and with pressure, without the need for toe power. For this, the wearer must accept compromises in terms of sensitivity and comfort. The fit of the heel is also good. The FENIX is a very good sport climbing shoe, which plays its advantages especially on steep terrain and well supported on small steps. Technische Daten:

ENIGMA BLACK The very comfortable shoe with a rather wide fit is very comfortable and easy to put on and take off. It is still relatively sensitive and you can be quite accurate even on smaller steps. You can also hook all around well. Unfortunately, the middle part is quite „soft“ and requires more power when standing. Also, a Velcro strap is rather too little to fix the flexible middle part of a wide rubber band sufficiently. As a result, the flexible inner part can also wrinkle. Due to the high level of comfort, the shoe can also be recommended for longer sport climbing routes. Even with short alpine tours, he cuts a fine figure.
