In the 1970s / 80s was in Altmühltal with routes we „Osterweg“ at the Kastlwand (8-/ Kurt Albert) from 1977, ‚Zombie‘ (9+/ 10-; Sepp Gschwendtner) on the Blockwand and ‚The Face‘ (10- / Jerry Moffat) as well as the still rarely repeated Güllich route ‚Kanal im Ruecken‘ (X) from the year 1984 history written. All routes were or were the hardest routes of their time.

Then there was little news to report. Now Jonas Häring has opened with ‚Skin Effect‘ (10+/ 11-) a new top route at the Waldkopf. The crux of the route is a high hook, the route is a link to the route „Gluehbirne“ at the Bärenkopf in the Altmühltal and is in principle a 12-hold boulder problem to a Kneebar. All in all a pretty athletic route.

Jonas tells: „It’s not so my style, so the evaluation proposal is more with caution to enjoy … „.  What a crazy weekend it has been… Finally managed to do what has been a great goal of mine for the last two years! Was able to climb „Das Wunder von Essing“ 11- on thursday, after a lot of work this year. Fall conditions and regained motivation over summer made all the moves work a lot better than in spring and it clicked with an epic team ascent!!! … with all the good vibes and flow …, I managed to climb another big project of mine, with the first ascent of „Skin-Effekt“ (grade-proposal: 10+/11-)“
