For the now 50-year-old Yuji Hirayama comes with „Time Machine“ 8c + in Gozen-Iwa, Japan a dream true . After two years of projecting, the Japanese Rockmaster was able to finish the route. Yuji Hirayama was one of the best competitive and onsight climbers in the world in the 1990s. He was Rockmaster in 1991 and 2001 and Vice World Champion in 1991 and 1999. In 2004, he climbed a onsight ascent of „White Zombie“ (8c). Four times he has broken the Speed record at The Nose El Capitan.
Yuji Hirayama:“I train very very little, not regularly. Because very busy for my work and working for the Federation but I just try to squeeze into my schedule to go outdoor climbing once a week or once every two weeks. Time is so precious for me now.“
