"The elder statesman" XI / 9a by Moritz Perwitzschky

The young German Moritz Perwitzschky sends a ascent of „The elder statesman“ XI / 9a in the „Frankenjura“ in Germany. The route on the Rotenstein in climbing crag „Nördlicher Frankenjura was first ascented by Markus Bock in 2011 and is a direct link of „The Last Rites“ 8c +.  He climbs the route in the first session, after failing last year in somewhat wet conditions. Few weeks before Moritz climbs also „Classified“ XI / 9a
