The Austrian Nicolai Užnik could repeat another top boulder with „Emotional Landscapes“ [8C(+)] in the bouldering crag Maltatatal (Austria). The boulder was first climbed in 2002 as a standing start by Klem Loskot graded with 8B and added in the same year climb the sit start [8C] . The boulder is therefore one of the first boulder in this grade.

Nalle Hukkataival was the first to repeat the boulder and rated it as very difficult for the grade. Martin Moser and Florian „Flo“ Schmalzl sends also ascents, see the hardest boulder in the world – The climbing block.

Nicolai sends the boulder after a foodhold broke, so he would now put a „light“ plus behind the 8C ;-).

First opened in 2002 by Klem Loskot, this definitely is one of the best and for sure the most challenging climb I ever did.

For about two years now this was the last really hard boulder I hadn’t done in Maltatal and every time I tried it, I felt pretty chanceless until last year when I first stuck the starting move!
Last week I got really close so I had to come back and today I put it all together .

Originally graded 8C, I think it deserves the (+) especially since the starting foothold broke a while ago and made the first move even harder.
So happy I could finally tick this off and grab the 4th(?) ascent.
