The barefoot French climber Charles Albert reports the first ascent of „L’Ombre du Voyageur“ in Saleve. Charles mastered the boulder, as usual, without shoes or kneepads. According to Charles, he believes that the boulder in this style is more likely to be 9A+.

Achon in 2018 rated Charles 9A for his boulder „No Kapote only„. All repeaters then downgraded the boulder to both 8C+ and 8C, which of course used climbing shoes.
