The mellow YouTube channel presents the video of Charles Albert’s first ascent „No Kapote Only“ (9A). The boulder is located in the „Rocher Brûlé“ area in the French bouldering area Fontainebleau and was the second boulder for which the ninth grade of bouldering scale was proposed. The Japanese Ryohei Kameyama then got the first repetition of the high-end boulder. For this he has a new, presumably easier variant than Charles Albert found and classified him with rather 8C +. At least that’s how he reports it on his Instagram page. If the difficulty of „No Kapote Only“ is confirmed, the Japanese would skip a smooth boulder level. So far, Ryohei Kameyama has three boulders on difficulty 8C. In 2017 he was able to climb „The Big Island“ and „Jour de Chasse“ in Fontainebleau. However, the latter is classified as „soft“ or as 8B +.
