David Lama hat mal wieder zugeschlagen und mit dem Hohen Kirche „Nordpfeiler“ (400 Meter M4 A1 bzw. frei M6) im Valsertal seine zweite Solo-Neutour durch die Nordseite gelegt. Schon im Dezember 2013 gelang ihm an der Hohen Kirche die Nordverschneidung (400m, 90°, WI4, M4/5, VI/VII) ebenfalls solo. Dies ist nach der „Sagwand-Verschneidung“ (M6/A2), zusammen mit Peter Mühlburger, die zweite vogelwilde Tour im Valsertal in diesem Winter.
So richtig empfehlenswert ist die Route wohl nicht, vor allen wenn man Davids Kommentar dazu liest: „Looking down the second pitch on a solo first ascent I did yesterday. The route leads up the north buttress of the Hohe Kirche in the Valsertal. I left a few pitons in the crux sections, thinking they could be useful for people repeating the climb. However the quality of the rock on the upper part of the buttress is so bad that, despite the fun climbing on the first couple of pitches, I don’t think I can recommend to repeat this route.“
