After his First Ascent, we reported that Florian „Flo“ Schmalzl was still struggling with the grading of his hardest boulder „Sierra Madre“ (Fb8c) near Ginzling in the Zillertal (Austria). Alfons Dornauer climb the boulder successful and graded the boulder with Fb8c or with hard Fb8b +.  What the Flo is most likely to enjoy is his statement that the boulder is one of the best boulders in the Zillertal.

Alfons meint by Instagram: „After more or less unsuccessful competitions in China I was pretty syked to test myself on something hard on rock. Yesterday, after 3 days of trying, I was finally able to grab the 2nd ascent of @floschmalzl ’s testpiece ‚Sierra Madre‘ (~8c). Definitely the hardest and one of the best lines in Zillertal so far and my hardest ascent yet. I finished the day with a send of ‚Come as you are‘ (8b).
Now it’s time for a few more trainings before another competition in Vail! Video is coming soon!“
