He did it. The 41 years old „master of rock“ sends his hardest first ascent in the world with „Sleeping Lion“ (9b+). The route is in the sector „El Pati“ of the Spanish climbing crag Siurana. The route, Chris graded 9b+, is, if the grade is confirmed, the most difficult first ascent of the 41-year-old climber and one of the hardest sport climbing routes in the world.

Chris means :“It was more this personal goal,” he says, “of proving to myself that I could rise to that level again.”

The American began to work intensively on his project in autumn 2021, but he can’t send the route until March 28 of this year 2023
