Bei der 18-jährigen Martina Demmel läuft es derzeit richtig gut. So kann sie mit „Klondike Cat“ (XI-/8c) in den Bärenschluchtwänden im Püttlachtal ihre nun schon sechste 8c -Route in diesem Jahr klettern. Für Martina war es auch die sechste (XI-/8c)-Route überhaupt in ihrer Karriere, nachdem sie bis Ende Mai schon 5 Routen in diesem Grad in Franken klettern konnte. Die Route aus dem Jahr 2001 wurde schon 2015 mit Lena Herrmann, erstmals von einer Frau wiederholt.

„Endurance climb with its big lockoffs and tiny often painful crimps! The deadpoint move to the 2 fingercrimp at the 4th bolt (captured in the 1st & 3rd pic) was the stoppermove for me but once I’ve got it perfect I’ve sent the whole line directly with shaky legs! Happy to have clipped the chains in my 5th try in total even despite these humid condis on the 14th of June. Standing soo early definitely paid off to climb in the shady morning there!
