After an ascent of the DWS (Deep Water Soloing) route „Alasha„, Jakob Schubert had also taken on the other extremely difficult route by Chris Sharma. Now Jakob was able to secure an ascent of „Es Pontàs„. It was the 4th ascent of Chris Sharma’s classic from 2006. Previously, Jernei Kruder und Jan Hojer were successful on the archway on a rock cliff next to Mallorca. Jakob downgraded the route massively, in this case to 9a, just like „Alasha“.

Jakob means by thecrag: „It took me many tries to finally stick the dyno but once I did I could send! Such an amazingline! Definitely harder than Alasha for me but less scary..“
