The only 16 year old Italian climber Nicolò Balducci sends the third ascent of „Gondo crack“ (8c trad) on the Cippo crag near the village Gondo in Switzerland. The Gondo crack is a 17-metre long crack line, established at the end of the 1990s by two Italians Allesandro Manini and Maurizio Pellizzon. Since then the route waiting for a free ascent. In early April this year the Austrian took Barbara Zangerl and Italian Jacopo Larcher the first free ascent. The proposal for the grade was for the crack was 8c. The „Gondo crack“ is a beautiful line of crack in the sector Cippo in Gondo and is one of the hardest Trad routes in the world. Thus, big names like the British crack climbing specialist Tom Randell tried on the route. Tom was several times in the route since 2014. He pasted even a cleat on the T-Shirt to position him faster. Even that did not help, a free ascent resisted the route.   Here the Video from the First Ascent by EPIC-TV: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-1DDUc3aQVY
