The French hardware  manufactur Peguet is one of the largest manufacturers of screw links, so-called Maillon Rapide, which are primarily used in climbing on deflectors and at stands.

During a routine inspection, the company found a Maillon Rapide in the production batch with a cracked surface. According to Peguet, it is a production error.

Affected are the products of the Maillon Rapide 8mm standard galvanized steel EN362 / EN12275 ref.MRNZ08.0 CE EN 02.0 of batch A.19.04. These Maillon are galvanized and not made of stainless steel and should not be combined with stainless steel hooks anyway!
