After „Akira„, another extremely difficult route by Fred Rouhling has now been repeated and devalued. The Frenchman Baptiste Dherbilly was the first to repeat the route „Empreintes“ (9a+) in the French climbing area Cluses area south of Geneva. The route was first ascented ed by Fred in 2008.

„The first repetition of this route announced 9a/b by @fredrouhling in 2008.

After „Salamandre“ and „Mandallaz Drive“ it seemed logical to go and see Fred’s last route which had not been repeated yet.

After using the brush to dust off this line, I manage to decipher the movements. Of course the rock is not amazing but the route offers a very interesting effort with random moves. In particular, there is a throw in the middle with a certain commitment!

This line required much less investment than its neighbour Salamander. Beyond the details of the grading, which in my opinion is closer to 8c+, I would like to thank Fred for the „Footprint“ he left us in the realization of these atypical lines.
