Die Route „Unplugged„, nach „Action Directe“ zweitälteste 9a im Fränkischen, bekam mit Moritz Perwitzschky und Daniel Jung gleich zwei Begehungen. Die boulderartige Route am Hardcorewändchen (welch ein passender Name) wurde im Jahr 2003 von Markus Bock erschlossen.

„After a sweet struggle I was lucky to send „Unplugged“.

It was a special thing for me to try and finally send it. Together with „Action Directe“ it was one of the two hardest routes in the Frankenjura 2003. I remember when I saw that „Unplugged“ is only 6 m long. I thought I would never be able to try it. All the difficulty of a 9a compressed in only 6 m of climbing! In reality it‘s only 4 m of intense climbing with one particular hard move at the beginning: Crimping a strange two finger pocket. The crux move turned out to be extreamly condition depending.

I‘m very thankful that at the end temperatures stayed cool, so that I could have the pleasure to send it.

Moritz konnte dann noch die ebenso boulderlastige und noch kürzere Route „Der Barde besingt die Wunder des Tages“ 9a am Froschstein punkten. Die „wohl kürzeste 9a-Route der Welt“ wurde 2015 von Alex Megos erstbegangen und hatte wohl bis dato noch keine Begehungen.

„2 monos, 3 moves, the hardest one by far being the last dyno (maybe 8A/+-fb single move).
Probably world’s shortest 9a and even shorter than most of the boulder problems, but fun is guaranteed, despite the pockets being a bit sharp.“
