Unerwartet war es nicht, bei dem Lauf den Martina Demmel derzeit hat. So war es nur noch eine Frage der Zeit bis die wohl derzeit beste deutsche Kletterin den Umlenker einer 9a-Route clippen würde.

Nun konnte sie nach nur fünf Versuchen „Joe-cita“ in Oliana punkten. Die Route wurde von Jakob Schubert erstbegangen und in dem Jakob typischen Understatement mit 8c+/9a eingestuft. Jonathan Siegrist stufte die Route jedoch schon auf 9a hoch.

Bisher konnte Martina auch schon mit „Joe Blau“ und „La Montaña Magica“ zwei 8c+ Routen im diesem Jahr sturzfrei bis zum Umlenker klettern.

But today I just wanna say „Muchas gracias“ to every single person at the crag for the support, cheering and sharing the happiness afterwards no matter who had some progress or even was sending a project! Never experienced such a chilled familiar atmosphaere but still with a super psyched spirit before! These little things are the secret to let you really push your limits!

Martina konnte nun schon 18 8c und schwerer Routen in ihrer bisherigen Karriere punkten. Das ist an sich schon eine große Leistung, wenn man aber bedenkt, daß Martina erst vor vier Jahren mit Klettern begonnen hat, ist das umso bemerkenswerter. Erst im April letzten Jahres konnte sie  mit „Odd Fellows“ ihre erste 8c-Route klettern.
