Für Florian „Flo“ Wientjes startete das Jahr ja schon ganz gut. So konnte er gleich dreimal 8C und einmal 8B+/C klettern. Schon letztes Jahr im Dezember versuchte sich Flo in dem Schweizer Topboulder „Off the Wagon (sit)“. Nachdem er schon bald alle Züge klettern konnte, begann für ihn doch ein mentaler Kampf, bis er jetzt den Boulder endlich klettern konnte. Es war die sechste Begehung des Boulders und für Flo der erste Boulder in diesem Grad.
„I started trying it on a short trip last Dec. The plan was to try the stand but after that went down pretty fast I started trying it from the low start. I did all the Moves and also did my first links which gave me confidence that this Line is absolutely doable for me. From session 2 I always fell on the big move and the mental battle started. 6 more sessions came and went with close calls and new „Highpoints“. It was mentally really hard climbing to the big move just to fail another time on the same move as the 60 times before.“
Im Jahr 2018 konnte Shawn Raboutou an den Nalle Hukkataival Boulder „Off the wagon“ (8B+) im Valle Bavona noch einen Tiefstart dranzuhängen. Heraus kam mit „Off the wagon sit“ der damals wohl schwerste Boulder in der Schweiz. Mittlerweile hat der Boulder „Alphane„, ebenso von Shawn Raboutou die Topposition eingenommen.
